FAQs
What can I expect the first session?
Connection Comes First
From the very beginning, we focus on building a safe and genuine connection. We’ll take time to get to know each other, hear your story in your own words, and begin building trust. You can share as much or as little as you like. You’ll be met with full attention, warmth, and no judgment. This relationship becomes a foundation for your growth.
What does the process look like?
We move at your pace and tailor the work to your needs.
Many people find it helpful to think about growth in three gentle phases:
• Phase 1: Finding Solid Ground — Building coping skills, grounding techniques, and self-kindness so you feel safer and steadier. (This phase especially emphasizes building connection and safety in our relationship.)
• Phase 2: Exploring Your Story — Gently processing emotions, old beliefs, and experiences tied to trauma, anxiety, eating patterns, or relationships.
• Phase 3: Moving Forward with Confidence — Rebuilding self-trust, strengthening relationships, and creating a life that aligns with your values.
A natural mix of tools we draw from are CBT, DBT, somatic techniques, body awareness, mindfulness, narrative work, and self-compassion — always guided by what feels most helpful for you.
How long are sessions?
Sessions are 45 minutes for $125. Half sessions, double sessions can be accommodated.
Meeting on a weekly basis usually is best for results. Therapist will recommend stepping up frequency or down based on each clients needs.
Do you accept insurance?
We are an out-of-network provider so do not accept in-network insurance. We do off a Super Bill for out-of-network benefits. It is recommended for prospective clients to call the number on the back of their insurance card to ask about your out-of-network benefits and how to submit your Super Bill.
Our online system takes payments via anything that acts like a credit/debit card so most HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
Discounts are available to Veterans, First Responders, and Active Duty.
